- RFNOW submits a request for utility locates on your property to ensure no utility lines will be disrupted as we bring fiber to you home. This takes approximately 2-4 weeks to be completed.
- Once locates have been completed, the RFNOW Construction team will contact you to arrange the fiber drop. The team will confirm the route of the cable through your yard and into your home.
- During the fiber drop the crew buries the fiber optic cable at a depth of approximately 18 inches, bringing the cable into your home through an exterior fitting.
- The final step is activation. This requires one final appointment for the installer to activate your service and ensure the connection is tested and confirmed. Once confirmed, you can begin enjoying the lightning fast speeds fiber Internet brings.
Note: Timelines will vary depending on your community, ground conditions, the proximity of the main fiber line to your home and any restrictions on your property for the cable to reach the home.

On average, most fiber installations will happen within 1 to 3 months, based on the proximity to the existing network.
